Pachelbel Nightmere

I have received several request for yet another blog about my dog, but no! No Kenny! I refuse to write about my beautiful dog this time.

This guy is a riot, he points out how Pachelbel's Cannon is pervasive in modern music, it really is worth it to hear the whole thing where at the end he has a montage of modern music set to Cannon in D so you can see the similarities. I figured Dale might enjoy this comedian since he played Pachelbel at our wedding!

I wish this was my music talent night skit!

FYI - If you search for "Pachelbel" in google this guy's video is #3! No wonder it has been viewed 2 million times!

Absolutely awesome! I knew about the Blues Traveler one, but not all the others!

I remember after taking my "Elements of Music" elective I learned that songs are based on some simple chords... and now I realized they're all based on the same chords! You may have inspired me to take music theory classes again...

I am honored that Kenny commented on my blog.... except for the fact that he doesn't like shelby blogs

I thought of you and your blog today! I was listening to 40+ songs by the Beastie Boys and realized the majority of their songs are all the same (probably pachelbel, ha), just different words.

Martha - Awesome!

This is hysterical - the whole thing about 8 notes is part of the reason I didn't want this piece at my wedding. On a similar note, I HATE Ravel's Bolero. Hate it.

It's funny 'cause it's true...

I have to say bolero has grown on me, if you are sick of it, try to listen to it once and imagine the procession of a great king coming down the street getting louder and louder (like a parade) until it passes you and gets softer and softer. I think that's what the song is supposed to be about but I never bothered to check.
